Job summary

Sunrun is seeking an Electrical Trainee in San Diego, CA to support Foreman and Electricians on residential solar installations. You will provide hands-on electrical assistance, help assemble racks and arrays, and support safety and quality on site.

Starting pay ranges from $26.40 to $35.21 per hour, with 100% travel required. You will gain versatile experience across installation, troubleshooting, and finishing tasks while growing with Sunrun's Power+ program and team-based culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical installation experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to perform all installation duties of the Installer and Lead Installer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of electrical systems interconnecting the solar array to the grid power of our customer’s residential property.
• Assist with solar battery installations when assigned.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of system problems and help resolve electrical issues.
• Assemble the racking and solar array when assigned.
• Trenching, concrete work and equipment assembly.
• Project clean up including client site and installation vehicle.
• Ensure attention to detail with an emphasis on safety, quality, customer service, and productivity.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standards.
• Develop a positive working dynamic within installation crew and branch co-workers.
• 100% travel is required.
