Job summary

Straight and Narrow, headquartered in Paterson, NJ, seeks a Shift Leader to provide on-site leadership and operational oversight for drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities. This awake role supports client engagement, crisis response, and adherence to clinical guidelines, policies, and safety standards.

The Shift Leader is the primary on-shift contact, documents incidents, coordinates with clinical and medical teams, and promotes recovery-oriented care.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required, Associate degree preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience in a similar setting.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Must have a valid New Jersey driver's license and vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, disciplined, and caring therapeutic environment with direct supervision of all clients.
• Assist in covering Residential Life Supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the RLD director.
• Enforce CC-Straight & Narrow Policies & Procedures and the Clients’ Handbook.
• Supervise RL Associates on shift and coordinate tasks to ensure completion.
• Cover RL Associate shifts when understaffed and de-escalate crises as they occur.
• Engage in MDT meetings and client interventions when needed.
• Coordinate sick calls with medical staff and ensure client attendance at OSAs.
