Job summary

InCommunity seeks an experienced Community Area Manager to oversee two group homes in the Atlanta metro area. You will supervise staff, coordinate services for residents with IDD, and liaise with families and providers.

On-location work includes evenings and weekends as needed, with travel between sites. You’ll champion person-centered practices, ensure documentation and logs are accurate, and lead training, meetings, and budget adherence to support safe, healthy, and independent living for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; degree in human services preferred.
• 3+ years in human services or related field supporting individuals with IDD.
• At least 1 year in supervisory or lead role overseeing staff and scheduling.
• Experience coordinating individual support services and documenting logs.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ self-advocacy, employment and community involvement.
• Foster open communication with individuals, families, staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate medical follow-ups and ensure documentation is logged correctly.
• Manage staff performance and apply progressive discipline when needed.
• Coordinate staff training and schedule coverage for two group homes.
• Act as role model and ensure policy compliance.
• Recruit and onboard new hires; may participate in terminations.
• Schedule staff according to staffing model and respond to after-hours needs.
• Lead staff meetings and ensure timely completion of reports.
• Adhere to budget for each group home and support on-site operations.
