CPI Security is looking for a Residential Service Technician based in Greensboro, NC who will install our state-of-the-art home security solutions to residential and commercial customers. This individual will assess the customer’s need and sell additional products and services. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn a great performance-based income, while providing a valuable service to our customers. Responsibilities include servicing residential security systems accurately and efficiently, meeting or exceeding performance goals, performing walkthroughs of homes to determine optimal system configuration and identify up-selling opportunities, keeping customers informed about the service process, connecting in-home systems to the central monitoring system, activating systems and performing customer demonstrations, submitting billing and payroll paperwork timely and accurately, ensuring safety to avoid injury or property damage, providing exceptional customer service, consulting with management on issues, cleaning up work areas, maintaining company equipment including truck, tools, and inventory, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with electronics/electrical/HVAC/technical training as a plus, good sales skills with strong up-selling and closing abilities, mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, commitment to safety, ability to work individually and as part of a team, professional appearance, high energy and positive attitude, schedule flexibility including weekends, and knowledge of alarm systems and experience in alarm, cable installation, or telecom as a plus.
