Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting, installing, and repairing systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, ensure code compliance, and communicate effectively with homeowners to provide quality service.

Requirements include at least 2 years of hands-on plumbing experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints and job specs.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and job specifications to plan installations.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and customers.
• Diagnose and propose effective plumbing solutions.
• Experience with residential plumbing installations and repairs.
• Knowledge of water, gas, and sewage systems and codes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment.
• Determine whether repairs or replacements are needed for customers.
• Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components.
• Test for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains.
• Manage the inventory of plumbing supplies in the vehicle, including checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
• Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.
• Maintain safety equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned
