Job summary

Shaw Industries, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company, offers a Residential Sales Internship in Dalton, GA for rising seniors. This 6–8 week program provides hands-on exposure to residential flooring sales, product knowledge, and business operations at Shaw's Corporate HQ.

Interns will shadow Territory Managers, visit markets nationwide, and develop skills in sales, operations, and customer relationships while learning Shaw's culture and career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Rising college senior pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and professionalism.
• Interest in sales, customer relationship management, and business development.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the internship program.

Responsibilities

• Travel with Territory Managers and other sales leaders in the market.
• Gain knowledge of Shaw's residential flooring products, including carpet and hard surface solutions.
• Participate in customer visits, sales meetings, and relationship-building activities with retail partners and distributors.
• Network with Shaw associates across multiple business functions.
• Assist with product displays and product knowledge sessions.
• Develop an understanding of the residential sales process and customer lifecycle.
• Learn how sales, operations, marketing, and customer service work together to support business growth.
• Gain exposure to territory planning, account management, and business development strategies.
