Vertical Works, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Project Manager to oversee residential and remodeling projects ranging from new builds to additions. You will travel regionally, ensure exceptional customer experience, and coordinate with architects, designers, builders, and subs to drive successful project outcomes.

The role requires hands-on site presence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work nights and weekends to meet deadlines while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction project management experience in custom residential homes, modular homes, or remodeling projects.
• Substantial experience with computers and programs (Gmail, G-Suite, Excel, Word, BuilderTrend).

Responsibilities

• Drive pre-construction walk-throughs and hand-off meetings to ensure complete project clarity.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, builders and subs as needed.
• Determine, obtain and schedule all permits; attend inspections.
• Manage customer relations from start to warranty service.
• Create accurate project schedules and protect sites.
• Provide pre-construction site protection and secure materials/labor resources.
• Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors; hold them accountable.
• Set clear budgets and timelines; ensure on-time delivery and profitability.
• Maintain daily communication with customers via project management software.
• Process change orders before work starts and collect payment within 1 week of change order.
• Develop strong relationships with vendors, subs and customers to drive profitability.
