Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Recovery Specialist for its Residential Recovery Program in Aldan, PA. The role supports residents in rebuilding daily living skills, pursuing independence, and creating healthier futures within a small, supportive team and a caseload of 4–5 residents.

The position involves guiding residents through self-care, budgeting, medication education, and recovery-oriented counseling, with duties including transportation, light housekeeping, and documentation, in a structured program

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 1 year of human services experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Strong communicator who thrives both independently and on a team.
• A compassionate, flexible, recovery-oriented mindset.
• Comfort managing a small caseload (4–5 residents).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to transport residents.

Responsibilities

• Guide residents through daily living skills — self-care, budgeting, and medication education.
• Provide supportive, recovery-oriented counseling grounded in best practices.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming home through light housekeeping and meal prep.
• Drive residents to appointments and activities using a program van.
• Administer medications in line with DPW standards.
• Respond calmly and confidently in crisis moments.
• Keep accurate documentation and billable service records.
• Advocate for residents and model healthy communication and conflict resolution.
• Partner with your program coordinator and team to support each resident's individual goals.
