Job summary

New Day Recovery is seeking a Resident Monitor to support our residential treatment program. The role focuses on supervising clients in early recovery, reinforcing expectations, and helping create a safe and supportive environment where real progress can occur.

The position involves a mix of day and weekend shifts (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). You will be responsible for admissions/discharges, rounds, and accurate daily notes, with emphasis on safety and structured activities for clients.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year experience in the recovery field.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass background check (BCI/FBI) and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Support client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientations.
• Provide client supervision and safety monitoring, including routine rounds.
• Encourage client engagement through structured activities and positive interaction.
• Complete accurate documentation (including daily activity notes).
• Conduct urine drug screens and breathalyzer testing in compliance with protocols.
• Monitor client phone use and program compliance.
• Provide client transportation using company vehicles (as assigned).
• Maintain a safe, structured environment, including lights-out and shift checks.
