Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) seeks a Full-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for the Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. You will support individuals exiting custody through supervision, screening, and coordinated services.

The role involves urinalysis, intake, security, and daily shift activities with a focus on safety, documentation, and compliance. A high school diploma, background check, and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs of FBOP required training, prior to working FBOP clients.
• Strong attention to details.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before shift; example: 4pm-12am requires 3:45pm arrival.
• Conduct Urinalysis.
• Provide update on client issues and incidents.
• Verify all physical items passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct common area, room searches and perimeter searches; document results.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility; document results.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident reports.
• Complete house counts hourly midnight–8am and every 2 hours 8am–10pm; document results.
• Transport Clients as needed in a Company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same sex clients and complete required paperwork.
• Supervise all client visitations; sign in/out visitors and contractors.
• Complete intake on new arrivals prior to end of shift; facilitate client orientation.
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
• Monitor client's self-administration of medication.
