Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) in Coventry, RI seeks a full-time Residential Re-entry Specialist (Youth Residential Mentor) to support youth on parole and promote successful community reintegration.

You will create individualized plans, provide direct supervision, track progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, using trauma-informed practices and ongoing training to help residents succeed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Bachelor's degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Experience with Youth Population preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a residential setting.
• Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident, in collaboration with other team members.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to residents throughout their stay.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and behavior.
• Ensure that all residents receive the necessary support and resources to successfully reintegrate into their communities.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
• Complete house counts every hour from Midnight to 8am and every 2 hours from 8am to 10pm and document results.
• Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation. Sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
• Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift. Facilitate client orientation as assigned.
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility.
• Monitor clients self-administration of medication.

Starting Salary: $19.98 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials

Schedule : Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Qualifications What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma plus 4 years experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Bachelors degree plus one year experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred. Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Experience with Youth Population Preferred.
• Able to arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change, may also be required to stay later.
• Valid drivers license
