NOW HIRING Residential Quality & Environment Specialist

Apis Services, Inc. | Full-Time | Field-Based Position

Make a Difference. Improve Quality. Create Homes That Feel Like Home.

About Apis Services

Apis Services, Inc., part of the Inperium network, provides administrative and operational support to organizations delivering essential human services. We are committed to supporting safe, welcoming, high-quality environments for the individuals and communities we serve.

We are seeking a Residential Quality & Environment Specialist who takes pride in creating clean, safe, organized, and comfortable living environments.

Position Overview

This is not your typical inspection position!

The Residential Quality & Environment Specialist is a hands‑on, field‑based professional responsible for visiting residential homes, evaluating environmental conditions, and taking immediate action to improve cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall appearance.

We are looking for someone who doesn't just identify problems—they help solve them.

Whether organizing a kitchen, addressing housekeeping concerns, identifying maintenance needs, or ensuring a home is welcoming and inspection‑ready, this position plays an essential role in maintaining quality living environments for the individuals we support.

What You'll Do

Inspect, Improve & Maintain Residential Environments

  • Conduct comprehensive, room‑by‑room assessments of residential homes.
  • Evaluate kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, storage areas, and other household environments.
  • Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, organizing, and housekeeping improvements during visits.
  • Identify and address environmental concerns that impact cleanliness, safety, comfort, and overall home presentation.
  • Ensure residential environments maintain a welcoming, organized, and home‑like atmosphere.

Take Action & Drive Results

  • Resolve routine housekeeping and organizational deficiencies immediately whenever safe and appropriate.
  • Document findings, corrective actions, and outstanding concerns using mobile inspection tools.
  • Coordinate with residential leadership, maintenance, facilities, and cleaning vendors to address deficiencies requiring additional support.
  • Follow up on outstanding issues to verify they have been fully resolved.
  • Escalate urgent safety hazards and concerns to the appropriate leadership teams.

Promote Quality & Accountability

  • Help maintain residential homes in a state of continuous inspection readiness.
  • Identify recurring housekeeping, environmental, and maintenance challenges.
  • Recommend practical improvements that strengthen cleanliness, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Respect the privacy, dignity, personal belongings, and daily routines of individuals living in the homes.
  • Collaborate with residential teams to promote consistent quality standards.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in housekeeping, residential services, facilities support, property management, quality inspections, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to perform hands‑on cleaning and organizational tasks.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel between multiple residential locations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company driving requirements.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, electronic checklists, and documentation systems.
  • Experience working in environments supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
  • Residential homes are consistently clean, safe, organized, and welcoming.
  • Routine deficiencies are corrected during visits rather than simply reported.
  • Maintenance and safety concerns are communicated promptly and tracked through resolution.Repeat deficiencies decrease through proactive follow‑up.
  • Residential staff and leadership receive practical support in maintaining quality environments.

Typical field expectation: Approximately 3 residential homes per day or 15 homes per week, adjusted based on travel, property conditions, and corrective work required. Quality and meaningful resolution take priority over the number of visits.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands‑on position involving regular walking, standing, bending, reaching, stair climbing, and routine cleaning activities. Reasonable accommodations will be provided in accordance with applicable law.

Why Join Apis Services?

At Apis Services, we believe every individual deserves a safe, comfortable, dignified place to call home.

This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving the quality of residential living environments while working with a team committed to service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
