Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Psychiatric Technician to support Residential Addiction programs within the Psychiatry department. You will work under a registered nurse, assisting with social, clinical, and observational activities to promote safety and treatment engagement.

The role covers adults and children 18+, with duties including milieu management, activities, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to address alcohol and drug use, emotional health, and spiritual wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.
• Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a mental health or behavioral assistant is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Support residential addiction programs with a holistic, patient‑centered approach.
• Assist in milieu management, social activities, and therapy concepts within care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and treatment goals.
