Job summary

Gables Residential is seeking a General Manager to oversee financial performance, lead on-site teams, and deliver Signature Service for residents and investors. You will drive marketing efforts while ensuring compliance with housing regulations and fostering cross-department collaboration.

The role emphasizes recruiting and developing staff, building relationships with communities, and delivering exceptional living experiences through strong leadership and strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in residential property management, ideally in a management role.
• Experience marketing and advertising apartments in compliance with housing regulations.
• Ability to recruit, manage and develop on-site teams and collaborate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Own the full financial performance of the asset and monitor income/expenses.
• Recruit, manage and develop all on-site positions to reach performance goals.
• Lead sales and service teams to exceed resident and investor expectations.

The Role

The General Manager is a core part of the Gables Residential organization and impacts success each day. If you have a passion for providing exceptional living experiences for residents, developing top-performing teams, delivering “Signature Service” and providing impactful returns to investors, our General Manager position was created for you!

You Are…

• Confident in taking ownership of the full financial performance of the asset including consistent monitoring of income and expenses.
• Passionate about recruiting, managing, and developing all on-site positions to achieve performance goals while fostering an inclusive workspace where diversity is celebrated.
• Experienced in marketing and advertising apartment homes in compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations.
• Committed to developing positive relationships with other communities and departments within the Gables organization to ensure optimal results are achieved through collaboration and cooperation.
• Eager to build relationships with and manage the sales and service teams to ensure the community exceeds our resident and investor expectations.

You Have…

• At least 2 years’ experience in residential property management, preferably in a management level role.

Compensation: $77,000-$87,000 annual salary plus bonuses. Health and retirement benefits available as well as apartment rental discounts.
