Job summary

Rookwood Properties is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for NorthPark Townhomes in Cincinnati. The role involves maintaining appearance, safety, and resident satisfaction across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.

You will proactively address maintenance requests, oversee contractors, and help prepare units for new residents while supporting curb appeal and community operations. A strong work ethic and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Background and MVR checks are required.
• Previous property/apartment maintenance or related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• HVAC certification is a significant advantage.
• EPA certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the community.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Oversee outside contractors as directed by the Property Manager.
• Help maintain buildings, grounds, common areas, and community amenities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests.
• Prepare vacant apartments/townhomes for new residents.
• Complete unit turnovers efficiently and to standards.
• Inspect vacant homes and common areas for safety and occupancy readiness.
