Job summary

Gale-Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and upkeep across the property. You will assist with maintaining residential units, common areas, building systems, and facilities in safe, clean, and functional condition.

You will respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the Housekeeping/Maintenance team to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience in a condo/apt/hotel or residential setting preferred.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, painting, drywall, carpentry and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize work orders based on urgency and operational needs.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on responsibilities.
• Certifications in maintenance/HVAC or related fields are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout the property.
• Inspect units, common areas, equipment, and building areas for safety concerns.
• Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, lighting, fixtures, appliances, doors, locks, drywall, painting, and other components.
• Troubleshoot issues and report problems needing specialized repair.
• Assist with basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance within training scope.
• Replace bulbs, filters, fixtures, and other routine components.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, patching, and general repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical, storage, and service areas.
• Report safety hazards, leaks, or equipment failures immediately.
• Assist vendors/contractors during specialized repairs.
• Maintain tools and supplies in good condition.
