Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply state and local laws for property appraisal and assessment.
  • Conduct field reviews of residential property and identify real property using maps and directories.
  • Prepare property records, sales reports, sketches, and other documents with accuracy.
  • Explain assessment laws to taxpayers and respond to inquiries or complaints.
  • Research deeds, leases, and other records; defend appraisal values during appeals.
