Job summary

Abraxas Youth & Family Services is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of assigned residential programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role provides leadership to staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and focuses on person-centered care to promote independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include staffing, safety, documentation, and coordination with families and providers to ensure comprehensive services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in residential or group home setting.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and management of assigned residential programs.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive home environment.
• Promote dignity, respect, and freedom from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and mistreatment.
• Coordinate transportation and healthcare appointments for residents.
• Maintain required records and assist with audits and compliance.
• Provide coaching, supervision, and professional development for staff.
• Liaise with families, guardians, support coordinators, and external stakeholders.
• Participate in policy development and quality assurance activities.
