Job summary

The Arc Ontario in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Residential Program Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a residential home, mentor direct care staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate programming and support residents in meaningful activities, while maintaining strong communication with families and clinical partners.

Salary: $22.08 - $23.51 per hour

Position Overview

As a Residential Program Supervisor, you will lead the daily operations of a residential home while supporting individuals in living safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. You will guide and mentor direct care staff, coordinate active programming, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure strong communication with families, managers, and clinical partners. Your responsibilities include participating in hiring, training, scheduling, quality assurance, and emergency support, along with providing hands‑on assistance in daily living skills, community outings, health‑related needs, and behavior support plans. This role is well suited for someone who is compassionate, organized, confident in independent decision making, and committed to promoting dignity, independence, and personal growth for every resident. Requirements

• Two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/experience
• Internal candidate requires 1-year of relevant experience
• Valid NYS Driver's License
• Must be able to provide coverage of shifts as the need arises.
• Ability to work independently and motivate others.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
