Job summary

Thomas Allen, Inc. seeks a Residential Program Manager II to supervise two residential homes in the Twin Cities metro area. You will lead a team of caregivers, promote independence, and ensure residents receive personalized care in a nurturing environment.

You’ll coordinate activities, manage resources and finances, and collaborate across teams to deliver holistic services while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Three years of direct care experience for people with disabilities or mental health conditions.
  • Designated Coordinator qualifications: BA with 1 year, AA with 2 years, diploma with 3 years, or 50 hours education with 4 years.
  • Effective listening and strong social/communication skills.
  • Pass Department of Human Services background clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to communicate in English, written and spoken.

What you'll need:
  • A minimum of three years' experience providing direct care to people living with developmental disabilities and/or mental health conditions.
  • Required qualifications of a Designated Coordinator, including:
    • A bachelor's (BA) degree in a field related to human services and 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 or older
    • OR an associate (AA) degree in a field related to human services and 2 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older
    • OR a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post‑secondary institution and 3 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older
    • OR a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and 4 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in 1 to 3 above
  • Must possess effective listening skills and strong overall social and communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Human Services background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally
