Job summary

Vanderheyden, Inc. in Wynantskill, NY, seeks a Residential Administrator On Duty/Manager to lead the living unit, mentor direct care staff, and ensure treatment plans are implemented safely and effectively.

You will supervise, coach, and support the program to help individuals achieve personal goals. This role requires coordinating hiring and training, approving time cards, ensuring policy compliance, managing the unit budget, and engaging families and treatment teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma with related management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver's License with a clean MVR.
• Ability to complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training.
• Must be able to walk and run to maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervision, mentoring, coaching, and evaluation of direct care staff to meet treatment goals.
• Assist hiring processes including interviewing and staff training.
• Review and approve time cards.
• Ensure staff meet training requirements and implement Treatment Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Engage staff and individuals in effective treatment activities and age-appropriate recreational experiences.
• Act as liaison for family, clinician, and treatment team issues.
• Ensure safety of individuals and facility; complete monthly environment checks and drills.
• Manage unit budget and purchasing of supplies; oversee dietary and menu compliance.
• Oversee daily schedules and life-skill activities; plan special events and celebrations.
