Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITYThe Bridge Family Center is currently searching for a full time Program Director to work with adolescent females in its West Hartford STTAR Home (Freymann House), a short term assessment & respite program working with adolescents in DCF care. The Program Director, with strong input and oversight from the Director of Residential Services, is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation and operation of the Specialized Trauma-Informed Treatment Assessment and Reunification model (STTAR). The Program Director manages the daily operations of the program and interfaces with all appropriate community agencies and families, and is responsible for the overall quality assurance of the program. Pay within the range will depend on education level and years of experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DOProgram Management
Administrative Duties
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field. Master's degree a plus. A minimum of five (5) years of Residential/Group Home management, particularly working with adolescents in DCF care preferred. Must have prior experience working with at-risk children/adolescents and have experience in administrative management and staff supervision, preferably in a 24/7 residential setting. Must also have a valid CT driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to transport clients. Certification in (or ability to become certified after hire) CPR/First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and Medication Administration plus additional trainings.
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Investment in the team approach. Culturally sensitive.
