Crown View Manor I Condominium in West Orange, NJ is seeking a dependable Porter to join our residential team. You will help maintain cleanliness of common areas, assist with light maintenance, and ensure a welcoming environment for residents.

The ideal candidate can lift and stand for extended periods, communicate well with residents and staff, and work independently with minimal supervision. Weekend shifts may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Porter/Janitor/Custodian or in building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and staff.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work weekends or varied shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, hallways, lobbies, and building exteriors
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Assist with light maintenance and repair tasks as needed throughout the property
• Monitor and maintain laundry rooms, parking areas, and other shared amenities
• Remove and manage trash and recycling in accordance with community guidelines
• Respond promptly to resident requests and facility needs in a courteous manner
• Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or damage to property management
