Job summary

Gilbert Crossing Apartments is seeking an in-house painter/laborer to maintain and renew apartment interiors and common areas. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply coatings while ensuring quality and safety standards.

The role requires 1+ years of painting experience on residential or commercial buildings, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Power tools experience is preferred and opportunities for additional pay are noted.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a painter for residential or commercial buildings.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Skill with paint, varnish and related products.
• Superb attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Previous experience with power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls by sanding, taping outlets, repairing cracks, etc.
• Estimate time and materials needed for tasks.
• Mix and apply paint and varnishes and solvents as required.
• Use various tools to achieve desired finishes.
• Set up and take down equipment as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Perform final quality inspections of work.
• Follow workplace safety rules and regulations.
• Assist maintenance team with external vendors when needed.
