Job summary

New Day Recovery in Louisiana is seeking a Residential Director of Nursing to lead nursing care in our detox and residential program. You will supervise medical and housekeeping staff, ensure safe staffing ratios, and maintain compliance with DHHS, JC, and private insurance requirements to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

A BSN is preferred; 1 year emergency or med‑surge nursing experience, 2+ years clinical and supervision experience, and strong leadership and communication skills are

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; 1 year emergency/med-surge nursing experience required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience and 2+ years of supervision experience.
• Pass state background checks; current BLS/CPR, First Aid and BBP.
• Knowledge of 42 C.F.R Part 2, HIPAA, and nursing ethics.
• Strong leadership, communication and time-management skills.
• Able to respond quickly in crisis; proficient with MS Office and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurse management and direct care in a detox/residential program.
• Supervise staff, interview/hire, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate documentation, QA, and compliance with DHHS and JC standards.
• Maintain staffing schedules and inventory of medications and supplies.
• Oversee infection prevention, training, and orientation of waived testing.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and action plans as needed.
• Coordinate with CEO on staffing ratios and nursing coverage.
• Facilitate weekly QA meetings and participate in incident reviews.
