Job summary

Pennsville National Bank is seeking a Residential Loan Officer to work with individual clients to evaluate loan applications, explain lending options, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The role blends analytical skills, financial knowledge, and outstanding customer service to match clients with the best mortgage products and guide them through the application and closing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years of prior lending experience preferred.
• Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac experience preferred.
• Knowledge of loan compliance regulations and underwriting functions.

Responsibilities

• Meets with and interviews clients to understand lending needs (mortgages, refinance, home equity).
• Explain loan types, terms, and conditions to clients throughout the process.
• Assist clients with mortgage applications and verify document accuracy.
• Review loan applications, credit histories, and repayment capacity.
• Make approval/denial recommendations to VP/Chief Lending Officer based on requirements.
• Visit properties for real estate purchase or refinance.
• Develop relationships with realtors, developers, and builders to promote bank services.
• Stay updated on policies, regulations, and industry trends.
• Promote additional financial products and assist with other lending products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
