Job summary

OnPath Credit Union in Metairie, LA seeks a dedicated Secondary Processing Specialist to support residential real estate loan processing for the secondary market and portfolio loans. You will work independently, ensure complete and compliant loan packages, and collaborate with underwriters, mortgage loan officers, and members to drive timely closings.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of mortgage loan processing experience.
Ability to manage an average pipeline of 25-35 active mortgage loans with accuracy, quality, compliance, and timelines.
A high level of attention to recording daily transactions and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

Process and document residential real estate loans for the secondary loan market and portfolio loans.
Ensure all secondary market loans are complete and properly documented.
Work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking with processor functions for home lending products.
Demonstrate proficiency with Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector AUS systems.
Coordinate with underwriters and borrowers to clear stipulations and exceptions.
Prepare complete loan files for underwriting decisions.
Process and upload loan packages to third party lenders, investors, and servicers when required.
Ensure customer files are complete and compliant with regulations and internal policies.
Update and document loan status in the origination system.
Assist Mortgage Loan Officers and Management with communications to members, employees, and 3rd parties.
Maintain member privacy and file security.
