Job summary

First Commerce Bank seeks a Loan Processor II for its Residential-Consumer Lending team in Lakewood, NJ. You will handle end-to-end mortgage loan processing from intake to closing, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years of residential mortgage processing experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Encompass and MS Office. You will collaborate with Underwriting, Closing, and other departments to deliver investor-ready files.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, 3–5 years mortgage processing experience; knowledge of mortgage industry regulations.
• Strong English reading/writing, grammar and math; excellent communication and time management; proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office and Encompass 360.
• Experience: 3–5 years residential mortgage processing required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, verify, and process residential and consumer loan apps from application to closing in compliance with Bank policy and regulations.
• Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy; collect income, asset, and credit documentation.
• Order appraisals, flood certifications, and IRS transcripts; issue disclosures per regulations.
• Assist Underwriting and coordinate with internal teams to clear conditions and prepare files for closing.
• Coordinate with Closing to ensure a seamless closing; track and report loan status for compliance; respond to inquiries.
• Provide excellent service to Loan Officers and customers while maintaining regulatory compliance.
