Job summary

The Mortgage Loan Originator solicits residential first mortgages through contacts with Realtors, builders, and developers. Interview loan applicants and make credit decisions. The MLO is responsible for handling referrals and developing referral contacts within the bank region.

Take borrower applications. Utilize communication and access to daily rates, credit reports and DU responses and transmitting to processor. Collect documentation and deliver loan package to processor in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at the time of employment via NMLS.
• Knowledge of home loan products, processing procedures and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness.
