Job summary

Kairos House, a short-term residential program, seeks a Support Specialist to deliver mental health services to adults with chronic mental illness in a respite setting. You will supervise residents, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate with community resources.

Requirements include a BA/BS in a mental health field or equivalent experience; familiarity with EHRs and medication procedures is expected. Strong collaboration with the treatment team is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in mental health or health/human services or 1 year full-time experience with serious mental illness.
• AA/AS with 2 years’ experience or high school diploma with 4 years’ experience.
• Ability to collaborate with the treatment team and engage consumers and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of residents in the residential setting.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with community resources to link consumers to providers.
• Transport consumers in agency vehicles.
• Observe administration of medications and document in EHR.
