Job summary

The Salvation Army Knoxville Area Command is seeking a Housing Program Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of a residential program, ensuring safe housing, meals, and a secure environment for clients in Knoxville, TN.

You will supervise shelter monitors, ensure policy compliance, complete program paperwork, and enforce facility rules while coordinating with local authorities to meet city codes and safety standards. Benefits include PTO and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Two years’ experience in a social service office environment or similar resident or recovery program.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and schedules shelter monitors; trains and instructs staff in the appropriate methods for performing work.
• Inspects work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Conducts performance evaluations.
• Monitors and enforces the behavior and residential requirements of clients.
• Supervises and monitors the access of the facility and maintains safety guidelines for clients.
• Monitors all entrances to the facility to ensure compliance with safety and city codes.

Job Details: Job Location: KT-Knoxville Area Command - Knoxville, TN, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Housing, Supervises and participates in performing the day-to-day activities necessary for the smooth operation of a residential program providing housing, food, and a safe environment; assists in assessing and instructing clients participating in the residential program; ensures that paperwork is completed, and all clients follow facility rules; ensures compliance with The Salvation Army policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
