Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of individuals are protected.
• Supervise and maintain a positive team of well-trained employees.
• Provide training and constructive feedback to employees.
• Implement therapy, training, and behavior programs.
• Monitor ongoing compliance with agency directives.
• Ensure homes, outside areas, and vehicles are well maintained.
• Communicate regarding medical care and supports.

Purpose

Provide support, assistance, and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live valued lives in the community by creating a positive home environment.

Qualifications

Essential Functions

• Identify and report any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of individuals are protected at all times.
• Supervise and maintain a positive team of well‑trained employees who provide support, direction, and oversight to interactions of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Provide training and constructive feedback to employees through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoring.
• Ensure implementation of therapy, training, and behavior programs and data collection required by the individuals’ plans and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure the home offers choice and creative activities within a positive innovative person‑directed environment.
• Monitor ongoing compliance with agency directives, licensing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all homes, outside areas, and vehicles are well maintained and organized.
• Communicate orally and in writing with staff and others regarding medical care, supports, and services, including medical terminology.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
