Job summary

City of McAllen, TX is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled manual labor in construction, repair, and maintenance of City facilities. Under direct supervision, tasks include refuse collection, brush collection, street cleaning, graffiti cleaning, signs installations, and water and sewer installation and/or repair.

The incumbent may be assigned a number of tasks, including reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, performs unskilled manual labor involved with construction, repair, and maintenance of City facilities or servicing an operation, such as refuse collection, brush collection, street cleaning, graffiti cleaning, signs installations, and water and sewer installation and/or repair.
• Incumbent may be assigned a number of tasks, including reporting requirements associated with such tasks.
• Maintenance Worker is under immediate supervision and has no responsibilities for reports or records, and decisions are made on a routine level.
• Employee has little or no contact with the public and has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Must abide by all safety rules and regulations.
