Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living seeks a Maintenance Technician to sustain safe, comfortable homes across multiple residential locations. You’ll handle routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support individuals and staff with reliable, well-maintained environments.

This full-time role includes a daily travel component with a company vehicle, on-call rotations, and a benefits package featuring medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years facilities or building maintenance experience.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple locations.
• Complete preventative maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours on-call rotations.
• Travel between Beacon locations using a company-provided vehicle.
• Document repairs, inspections, and completed work orders.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
• Communicate repair priorities and project updates to leadership.

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs across multiple residential locations to ensure our homes remain safe, functional, and compliant. You'll troubleshoot maintenance issues, respond to emergency repair requests, and help maintain high-quality living environments for the individuals we support.

What You'll Do

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and basic HVAC troubleshooting.
• Complete preventative maintenance to keep buildings, equipment, and systems operating efficiently.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours and weekends as part of an on-call rotation.
• Travel between Beacon locations using a company-provided vehicle.
• Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
• Accurately document repairs, inspections, and completed work orders.
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding repair priorities and project updates.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required (trade or technical certification preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of facilities or building maintenance experience.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently while managing priorities across multiple locations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
