Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Beacon homes to ensure a safe, functional environment. You will support day-to-day operations by maintaining facility standards and timely resolution of issues.

Daily responsibilities include preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems, responding to work orders, and collaborating with external vendors for specialized

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related field.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
• Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
• Basic computer skills for work order systems and email communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, safety systems).
• Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Conduct inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Assist with basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and general building repairs.
• Maintain grounds and snow removal as needed.
• Document maintenance activities in logs or work order systems.
