Job summary

Forty2 is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for our residential communities in Montgomery County, PA. You will perform a wide range of tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs to ensure safe, comfortable living spaces.

You will handle unit turns, routine preventive maintenance, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. A proactive, safety-minded, and customer-focused approach is essential in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders or stairs.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems
• Prepare apartments for new residents by completing unit turns, including painting, drywall repair, fixture installation, and general maintenance
• Assist with emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours on-call rotation as needed
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and recommend solutions
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management
