Qualifications

About The Role

The Maintenance Technician maintains the physical condition of the community and provides excellent service to residents. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, making repairs, and completing resident service requests promptly. A $500 net sign-on bonus may be available.

The Maintenance Technician Job Family is structured to define roles and responsibilities, supporting employee growth. Levels include:

  • Maintenance Trainee
  • Maintenance Technician I
  • Maintenance Technician II
  • Maintenance Technician III

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance staff and oversee property maintenance, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems.
  • Ensure safety and environmental policies are followed.
  • Deliver high resident satisfaction through professional interactions.
  • Work on a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 7 years maintenance experience (or 4 years with EPA 608 Universal certification)
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or carpentry
  • Strong customer service and technical skills
  • Ability to diagnose, repair, and perform quality control
  • Training for Maintenance Tech III to be completed within 15 months of hire/promotion
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

Regular use of hands, standing, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Work is performed in various environments, interacting with residents and staff.

Pay Rate: $27.50/hr
