Job summary

VPM Management, Inc. seeks a Service Technician II to perform maintenance and repairs across our Riverside communities.

You will work closely with the Property Administrator to ensure timely, professional service for residents and contribute to overall safety and satisfaction. You will complete work orders within 24 hours, inspect vacant units, prepare them for new residents, install fixtures, and assist with safety and daily upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential property maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance repair.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents, coworkers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders within 24 hours and document services.
• Walk and inspect vacant apartments to assess repairs and report findings.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents ensuring plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, flooring and appliances work.
• Install fixtures such as blinds, ceiling fans, locks and switches with safety and quality in mind.
• Perform general maintenance including caulking, re-keying, and plumbing/electrical repairs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools and keep workshops organized and safe.
• Learn and navigate property management software to manage requests and tasks.
• Ensure common areas are clean, well-lit, and safe.
• Participate in emergency on-call rotation including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain strong resident relations and report safety issues.
