Cottonwood Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for Lake St. James Apartments in Conyers, GA. This entry-level role supports day-to-day repairs, basic maintenance, and make-ready tasks to prepare homes for new residents.

Under supervision, you’ll handle plumbing, electrical, and carpentry basics, respond to resident requests, and help keep the grounds clean. A valid driver’s license and a customer-service mindset are essential, with on-call rotations including some weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• 0-1+ years of experience in residential maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry.
• EPA certification or HVAC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• CPO certification or pool maintenance experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills across multiple trades.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional attitude with a customer service mindset.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with residents and vendors.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant homes.
• Diagnose issues and escalate complex repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain appliances, fixtures, and building systems.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components at entry level.
• Support make-ready process to prepare homes for new residents.
• Walk the community to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
