Job summary

Thalhimer is seeking a Service Technician to join Collin's Crossing in Carrboro, NC. This full-time role involves maintaining apartment homes, completing work orders, and handling turnovers. On-call hours may be required.

You'll work to keep residents' living spaces safe and well-maintained, with competitive pay and benefits and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs and help maintain common areas, buildings, and pools.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
• CFC and HVAC certifications are required.
• Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between properties if needed.
• Exceptional interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for hands‑on work.

Responsibilities

• Completing apartment work orders and turnovers promptly
• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Assisting with the upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance
• Demonstrating exceptional customer service in all interactions with residents and staff
• Working with the team to ensure all maintenance tasks are handled efficiently and professionally
• Responding to emergency maintenance requests as needed
• Managing daily checklists, occasional tasks, and troubleshooting unexpected issues
