Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation in the United States is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Worker to perform upkeep on company housing and related structures under the General Maintenance Supervisor.

You will operate lawn mowers and power tools, carry out routine repairs, inspect for needed work, and respond to emergencies while following safety regulations and collaborating with the maintenance team to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry, plumbing and painting skills preferred.
• Ability to repair sprinkler systems.
• Willingness to help with any job.
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspections is a plus.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and work at heights.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate lawn mowers and weed eaters.
• Lifting and loading up to 50 lbs.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on structures.
• Inspect housing to identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Carry out repairs, upgrades, or replacements of appliances and infrastructure.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Maintain safe working environment and follow health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to meet project deadlines.
• Perform painting, drywall repair, plumbing, flooring replacement, roof maintenance, etc.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly.
• Monitor stock levels of materials and supplies.
