Job summary

United Group of Companies, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Hearthstone Village in Latham, NY.

This full-time role requires hands-on maintenance of an active adult community with emphasis on safety and resident satisfaction. The candidate should have 2+ years of residential maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems, and must be able to perform on-site duties, respond to emergencies, and maintain strong communication with residents

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years of experience in residential property maintenance preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes maintenance work orders; as assigned.
• Maintains interior and exterior areas of the property.
• Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies and materials.
• Knows utility sources and supply lines.
• Performs painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, and snow removal tasks.
• Ensures safety and quality of all work performed.
• Communicates issues to Property Manager; handles emergencies as needed.
• Supports on-call coverage and resident relations.
