Job summary

Gates Hudson & Associates is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day physical upkeep of one of our residential communities. This role handles corrective and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe, functional living environment for residents.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and skilled across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks, with the ability to work independently or in a team and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of residential maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred: CFC Type II or Universal certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on apartments, buildings, and common areas.
• Complete service requests promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and related systems.
• Perform unit turnovers and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Maintain organized stock rooms, tools, and maintenance areas.
• Track inventory and report shortages.
• Follow key control, reporting, and documentation procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
