Job summary

Albuquerque Housing Authority is hiring a Maintenance II to perform unskilled and semiskilled craftwork, repair and maintain AHA-owned properties, and complete unit turnovers for new tenants.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, an active NM driver’s license, and hands-on experience in residential maintenance or plumbing/HVAC. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and background checks apply. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, holidays, and PERA pension.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for Tech I/II.
• Valid NM driver license required.
• Experience in maintenance or plumbing/HVAC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs unskilled and semiskilled craftwork in maintenance and repair of properties.
• Completes work orders for repairs in units and for unit turnover to prepare for new tenants.
• Performs outdoor maintenance and grounds work on buildings, parking areas, and related facilities.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Valid and Active NM Driver's License

Three or more years of hands-on experience in skilled installation, maintenance, and repair of residential fixtures, plumbing/HVAC
