Job summary

J&A, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance duties in residential properties, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repairs, and grounds upkeep.

You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and strive to provide exceptional service during inspections and new occupancy. The role requires practical skills with building systems, safe work practices under OSHA standards, and strong communication with residents and contractors to complete work orders

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic repairs to appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, and/or circuits.
• Performs light plumbing work, such as clogs, replacing fittings.
• Performs carpentry work including doors, windows, shelves, and interior/exterior painting.
• Replaces damaged items like glass, tile, carpet, window screens/blinds, lights, appliances, locks.
• Reports maintenance and resident concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
