Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at the community, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will supervise staff, coordinate service requests, and uphold Greystar safety and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and cost-conscious management of maintenance resources in a multi-family setting.

Qualifications

• Maintenance knowledge and problem solving skills.

• Familiarity with safety standards and code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects from resident service requests and perform repairs per safety standards.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections and vendor coordination.
• Set and uphold standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Regularly inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies while staying within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Contribute to cost control by repairing rather than replacing when appropriate.
• Support OSHA compliance and keep up with safety-related laws and requirements.
• Provide responsive, courteous service to residents and address maintenance requests with urgency.
