Job summary

University of Oklahoma is seeking a Student Leadership Coordinator to support development and implementation of residential leadership initiatives, advising the Residence Hall Association and Community Councils, and coordinating leadership programs.

The role includes supervising a graduate staff member, managing budgets, and collaborating with campus partners to advance housing and residential life initiatives. A bachelor's degree and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12 months in student programming, student services, or closely related experience.
• Equivalency: 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months experience.
• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel Services or related field preferred.
• 24 months of experience supervising or advising student leaders, particularly within residence life or student governance organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive advising and developmental support for residential student leadership organizations, including the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and seven Community Councils.
• Support the creation and implementation of programs and initiatives that foster engagement, belonging, and leadership within the residential community.
• Design and manage processes that ensure the continued success and sustainability of student leadership organizations.
• Oversee the administrative and operational components necessary to sustain student leadership organizations.
• Strengthen partnerships within the institution and connect residential leadership organizations to broader professional networks.

Education

Bachelor's degree

48 months related experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree

Master's degree in Higher Education / Student Personnel Services or related field

24 months experience supervising or advising student leaders
