Job summary

Coleman Company, Inc. in Brunswick, GA, is seeking a growth-oriented Civil Project Manager/Engineer to establish our residential land development presence in the Golden Isles.

This dual role blends leadership with hands-on design work, managing projects from concept through construction and reviewing plans. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in residential site design, a PE license (GA or SC) or ability to obtain within 6 months, and strong communication skills for client ownership and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license in GA or SC, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in residential land development design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including roadway design, grading, and utility layout.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong public speaking and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple residential land development projects from concept through construction completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans; manage invoicing and collections.
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams across all phases.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and designers; assist in workload planning as Brunswick team grows.
• Produce civil designs for residential subdivisions: grading, stormwater, utilities, and roadway infrastructure.
• Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and prepare stormwater reports.
• Prepare, review, and seal construction documents, specs, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical direction and QA/QC for work produced by others.
• Lead permitting with Glynn County, City of Brunswick, Georgia EPD, and Georgia DNR Coastal Resources Division.
