Job summary

Grayson Central Appraisal District is seeking an analyst to perform activities related to the appraisal of all residential land properties. Responsibilities include data collection, inspections, and applying appraisal techniques in accordance with standards.

The role supports the Chief Appraiser in the hearing process and assists taxpayers with inquiries. Candidates should have strong math skills, familiarity with Excel, and willingness to pursue certification through the Texas Department of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related coursework encouraged.

• Good public relations skills and teamwork with the public.

Job description

Performs activities and functions associated with the appraisal of all residential land properties. Activities include: data collection; inspection; analysis and application of generally accepted appraisal techniques; assists the Chief Appraiser in the hearing process; and assists with taxpayer inquiries. Expected to successfully complete coursework sponsored by the Appraisal District and complete other requirements for certification with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

High school graduate, related college coursework, or related experience/knowledge of real estate markets, appraisal theory and construction techniques. Strong mathematical skills are required. College degree preferred. Good computer and clerical skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel. Must possess good public relations skills and aptitude for working as a team member and with the general public. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver’s license, proof of liability insurance and a verifiable, acceptable driving record. E.O.E.
