Job Summary

In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the Residential Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for daily kitchen operations. The following duties will apply:

Duties

• Assist with oversight of all activities pertaining to the kitchen and dining room.
• Ensure proper food preparation and handling.
• Assist with the preparation and service of well-balanced meals for residential clients.
• Assist with train for and supervise kitchen and dining room activities performed by clients completing community service.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with Health Department, OASAS and Food Link.
• Assist with participation in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.
• Accommodate clients regarding special dietary needs.
• Ensure kitchen workers follow approved menus.
• Performs other duties and functions as directed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse persons, staff and community service providers.
• Ability to multi-task, have good problem solving & time management skills and the ability to remain calm in a crisis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort within community and crisis services.
• Computer literacy required, specifically Word and Excel experience.
